We are pleased to note that the Company had won Sustainability Excellence Award in the Hong Kong Corporate Governance Excellence Awards 2012.
The Hong Kong Corporate Governance Excellence Awards, inaugurated in 2007, are conferred annually by the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies (CHKLC) and the Centre for Corporate Governance and Financial Policy, Hong Kong Baptist University (CCGFP) and are designed to encourage improvement in corporate governance (CG) of listed companies in Hong Kong. The new Sustainability Excellence Awards category is created this year to recognize companies with excellent commitment and achievements in their pursuits for sustainability measures.
The corporate website of China Mobile Limited (www.chinamobileltd.com) was accredited the "Grand Award Winners -- Investor Relations" and three other awards in the "iNova Awards 2012".
"iNova Awards" is the world's famous and independent competition honoring excellence in corporate websites. There were numerous websites from 12 countries participating in the contest, which was the 12th annual competition this year.
We are pleased to note that the China Mobile brand had been elected as "Top favorite China Corporate Brand voted by China Consumer" in the Prestigious Corporate Brand Awards 2012. This award has been jointly organized by Mingpao and Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2007.
Hang Seng Index Company Limited announced Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index Series 2012-2013, the Company has been selected a constituent of the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index again.
Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index Series was launched in July 2010, it is the first index series of its kind to focus exclusively on Hong Kong and mainland China. The aim of the index series are to further raise awareness about corporate sustainability (which encompasses environmental, social and corporate governance performance) and serve increasing international interest in sustainability investment.
We are pleased to note that China Mobile Limited was included in Financial Times' Global 500 again. In FT Global 500 2012 which was announced today, the Company's ranking jumped to the 8th place from 16th place of last year. In this ranking companies are ranked by market capitalisation. FT had included all companies where the free float - the proportion of shares in market circulation - is at least 15 per cent.
We are pleased to note that the China Mobile brand was included in the Millward Brown and Financial Times' "BRANDZ™ Top 100" for the seventh consecutive year. With a brand value of $47,041 million US dollars, the China Mobile corporate brand ranks 10th globally and 1st among all Chinese brands. BRANDZ™ Top 100 has been jointly released by Millward Brown and Financial Times since 2006.
We are pleased to note that China Mobile Limited ranked number 31 as compared to number 34 in the previous year in the business magazine Forbes' "Global 2000-The World's 2000 Biggest Public Companies" 2012. Global 2000 recognizes the world's biggest and most powerful public companies as measured by a composite ranking for sales, profits, assets and market value.
